However, the real story behind Lake Norman Marina's success is the people. The Kale family started and continues to operate the company, but the staff at Lake Norman Marina is what sets it apart. Our staff is second to none in experience, training, and knowing what the customer expects. The people at Lake Norman Marina are the reason for award winning service and incredible company growth.

Since its beginning in 1973, Griffin "Dip" Kale and his wife Elsie, have operated Lake Norman Marina in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. The Kales' genuine concern for the customer and excellent reputation for service have been the basis of the company's steady growth for over twenty-five years. Their enthusiasm has spread throughout the organization, resulting in a staff that goes the extra mile for its customers.

Their children continue the tradition. Their son, Mark, works as General Manager and
their son Rodney, as Parts and Accessories Manager. Their daughter, Rita, also
assists on a part-time basis in a variety of capacities.

Because of its superior service, excellent facilities, and quality products at fair prices,
Lake Norman Marina is recognized as one of the finest marine dealerships in the country
 today. This reputation has helped us to attract some of the most experienced personnel
in the industry. Many employees are truly boating professionals whose lives are immersed
